Intro to SECD Online

In this online course, students explore information from the resource, The Science of Early Child Development. Students use readings, videos, links, interactive games and online discussions to gain basic knowledge of child development and best practice.  The course is delivered completely online over 8 weeks, with students doing the work where and when they like. There are weekly requirements but no scheduled classes.

This course is for you if you:

• Want, or need, to take an introductory 40 hour training course. For example, Child Care Assistants in Manitoba.

• Are comfortable with and enjoy working at a computer (e.g., using email and the internet).

• Have access to a computer with an internet connection at least 5 hours/week.

• Have basic keyboarding skills and fluency in English.
